I have blonde, nearly invisible eyebrows that weren’t helped by years of teenage plucking. Wishing for more defined but natural-looking brows, I looked for solutions.
Regular use of brow serum (mainly RapidBrow, but still experimenting) helped, and I bought eyebrow tints/dyes online. They sometimes came out darker than I would have liked—and weren’t cheap—but it was still an improvement.
Then, after about a decade of that, I discovered the most effective, inexpensive, easy-to-use brow color of all: Just for Men Color Gel.
Their light brown adds subtle color and has a way of finding invisible hairs and making brows look fuller. (Just for Men also offers a light-medium brown if you’d like a slightly darker color.)
I color my brows this way once a week–a pretty low-maintenance routine. I use thin Q-tips, but regular-sized ones work fine too. You can experiment and get a feel for how long you like to leave the color on. I use wet/damp cotton balls to wipe off the excess.
This isn’t as much of an issue with Just for Men as it’s been with brow tints I previously experimented with, but if brows are dyed the night before going out, there might still be some staining the next day. They look more natural a few days later.
It’s lovely to finally have eyebrows, and to actually be complimented on them for the first time ever!
Common-sense disclaimer: Just for Men gel isn’t meant to be used this way, and of course should be carefully kept away from the eyes–but that’s not hard to do.
