I am accustomed to being ‘a doer’; I am active in many things and LIKE it like that! I was recently in the hospital in Tampa because I had become weak and constantly tired. This is not ME! I want to go back to doing my ‘thing’, whatever it is!. I am not happy as an invalid! I don’t want to sit down and REST just from walking across a room! Whoever came and got ME in exchange of this tired person, please return and bring my energy with you!
I am a failure as a ‘tired person’; I want to be the one I have enjoyed being for years; I have things to do!
I will never adjust to just sitting here, twiddling my thumbs! At least give me a book to read! Since READING rates high with me, I can sit still to read but I will not agree to sit here and do NOTHING! I am not a TV PERSON; only in dire emergencies could I sit for hours watching television. I prefer to read or write. I’m working on two books at the present time but my computer, with my Documents, is in Alabama and I am in Florida!
Help, somebody, get me out of this ‘resting chair’ and back to my life! I guess I will return to ‘doing my thing’ when I am stronger. In the meantime, those of you who pray (and I am one), get to it! I much prefer an active life to one of sitting around ‘resting’! Resting means doing nothing and that ain’t for me. I will try very hard to get my column written for July! Sorry to miss June.
