A Nation Divided: The Root Of The Poisonous Tree

Recently I heard a podcast host say that during The Cold War, Russia would accuse the USA of doing what Russia itself was doing. Hmm . . . That’s what’s happening today between the Left/Progressives and anyone not on their team or, stated more accurately, a faithful advocate of their Progressivism religion. Because it is a religion for them, for which they are zealous, sadly, far more so than most Christians are for God’s Kingdom and His ways.

However, many on the Left are absolutely unaware of this accusation contradiction. I wondered why this is, as well as what motivates them, so I did some research. Here’s a tip-of-the-iceberg summary of what I found. Resource links and more are provided.

From readings I realized this: The road to Hell is paved with good intentions. Most, but not all,
on the Left/Progressives (aka Socialists, Marxists, Communists, Social Justice Warriors, etc.)
are driven by this. It’s also used to manipulate them. I’m talking about the indoctrinated, not
those who’ve knowingly sworn loyalty to Lucifer by choice or coercion (I know how that
sounds—please keep reading).

What is the Root of the Poisonous Tree? I’ll start with that root and build from there. And I’m
aware some readers may decide I’m loopy and move on, though I hope you’ll stay with me as
I develop this in minor measure.

In the book, Jesus: The Premise of the Promise, Stephen Quayle wrote: “Behind both the Left
and the Right paradigms is a supernatural wickedness that is orchestrating division and evil in
our society. These demonically influenced people are more than evil men and women. They
are sold-out to Satan himself and are known as Luciferians.”

Hard as it may be for some to believe, it’s true. There are churches and temples of Satan out
in the open now—Google it. There’s an increase in satanic/occult books, movies, TV shows,
commercials, etc., etc., etc. Some of the most popular chain stores we believed to be family-
oriented sell satanic items (search “Baphomet statues”). More churches now knowingly or
unknowingly include occult activities. The current administration recently appointed a gay

freedom, it’s about fetishes and demons now freer to “come out and play” (check the “An
Open Heaven and Coming Judgment” link). None of this is new, they’re just not bothering to
hide it any longer, and this increase in in-the-open sin/evil happens to be one of many of
Messiah Jesus’ prophecies we’re experiencing regarding End Times.

Messianic Christians and Conservatives can already imagine what Progressives would say by
this point. If any are reading this, I hope you wait to see what comes next. Messianic
Christians know Jesus went to the cross for those made in God’s image, though they have to
choose to repent and to be born again into salvation through Jesus—to know the truth that
this saves them FROM being imprisoned by sin, but not so they can continue in their sin. We
don’t hate those who can still be saved—we weep and pray for them. But we do hate any sin
that seeks to kill, steal, and destroy.

Some people are literally sold-out to Satan (far more than you realize), including in leadership
roles across the globe (again, far more than you realize). Others are indoctrinated and thus
easily influenced, but not necessarily aware they are; some are programmed. What other
explanation is there for promoting and perhaps voting for not only abortion at any time and for
any reason of a healthy baby carried by a healthy mother, but also to extend abortion up to a
month after birth (Gov. Newsom/CA)—or up to two years after birth, preferred, as one
“Progressive” stated in a video I saw. Who does that?! NOT GOD.

In a completely inaccurate assessment, Progressives accuse pro-lifers of not being Christian,
because they “have no heart/feelings” for the mother/aka person-born-with-a-womb and her
right to choose what’s best for her. Dr. Gregory Reid said, “When you sacrifice truth for what
you feel, that’s the first big open door [to the Adversary/Satan].” I added what’s in brackets
because you haven’t yet heard him in the full context of his video comments.

What’s behind this?

There’s a reason Progressives use feelings as a weapon. From “Biblical Christianity vs.
Progressive Ideology: A Threat to Western Christianity,” we read, “Love is indeed a key, core
value of the biblical Christian worldview. But biblical Christianity is more than simply ‘love is
love’ in isolation, it’s a spectrum of core ethical concepts including grace, mercy, judgment,
obedience, moral precepts, faith, sacrifice, self-denial, and biblical love. So when love is
elevated above truth, above grace, above obedience, above the Bible, and even above Jesus
Christ himself, it becomes an idol, a false teaching, a world love, that is in fact, not love at all.”

Justin Steckbauer, goes on to say: “So what is biblical love? Biblical loves[sic] involves a
great deal of truth. While worldly love would insist on accepting any behavior, endorsing any
practice that pleases the culture, and never offending anyone no matter what, biblical love is
deeper than that. Biblical love is that Jesus Christ was slaughtered for our transgressions on
the cross. . . . Sometimes love means telling someone something they don’t necessarily want
to hear. The trouble with progressive Christianity is that they take worldly love, set it above all
else, and use it as a bludgeon to attack the truth statements of scripture. This is not love, but
something else.” Indeed. It is a driving force behind Progressives’ own religion. They wrongly
judge the infallible Word of God, Who is the One Who will Judge them.

From Progressive Evil: How Radicals Are Redefining America’s Rights, Institutions and
Ideals, Making Her Globally Irrelevant for the End Times, by LTC Robert L. Maginnis:
“Progressivism is a religion, and anyone who follows another faith is delusional, according to
a leading progressive scholar, Richard Dworkin . . . .” Maginnis poses and discusses three
questions: “What makes progressives tick (translation: behave in a certain way)? What does
the Bible say about the issues important to progressives? What do many progressives think
about Bible-believing Christians?”

i can add, in part, to Maginnis’ response to that last question: James 3:10 tells us we tend to
praise and bless Almighty God with the same lips we use to curse others, and that this should
not be. Frankly, we’re all guilty of this, in some measure, especially when triggered in the
flesh. But there’s a definite increase in impetus for Progressives and Progressive Christians,
to bash Messianic Christians online and in mainstream media. How often I see posts by
Progressives/Progressive Christians who consistently use/misuse “Love your neighbor as
yourself” in an attempt to shame Christians anytime they deviate from the tenets of
Progressivism religion (I refer you to the two earlier paragraphs about biblical love vs.
worldly/Progressivism love). Vitriol is spewed. This feeds lust of the flesh, grieves Holy Spirit
and Almighty God, and feeds Satan and the demons influencing these people who are locked
inside a Progressivism Prison, but don’t know it. Unfortunately, professing Christians are
similarly influenced to shame fellow Christians and others, rather than exhort and or teach in
the manner God commands.

However, this does not cancel God’s command for His followers to call out evil for what it is.
We will be judged for not doing so.

Still, don’t be fooled by the faulty Left vs. Right mirage. Frankly, Progressives are more
honest by being overt about their non-biblical beliefs, whereas many on the Left and Right in
authority positions are “wolves in sheep’s clothing.” They say what they believe their
constituents want to hear—or are instructed to say—but follow a different agenda, the same
agenda orchestrated by the Adversary.

Nor can we let similar incongruity for God’s Church Body be excused. From Quayle’s book:\

“We are taught by the world that impurity is better than God’s Everlasting Purity. This is in
direct contradiction to the Bible, which calls for followers of Jesus to be separate from the
world and to live pure and holy lives that exemplify the Lord.

“As I’ve pointed out earlier, recent polls show that many badge-wearing Christians march in
moral lockstep with mainstream American culture. When it comes to practices of divorce,
spousal abuse, extramarital sex, pornography consumption, materialism, and racism, just to
name a few, there is statistically little moral difference between the Church and the world. We
may talk about the importance of purity and holiness, but the sad fact is that most people in
our culture don’t see us as morally different to non-Christians in any meaningful way.

“What do they see us as?

“Hypocrites.

“Huh, so much for being salt and light.”

Quayle is correct. Indoctrinated, influenced Progressives observe fewer “salt and light”
examples of the faithful-to-God’s-Word and Kingdom version of His love (not the
world’s/Progressives’ version) and His Power proven through example by His Body the
Church. Not that we can be perfect—we can’t be, but we are expected to change as Jesus
perfects us over time through His love—a promise He is faithful to keep, which is not
necessarily a quick or easy process, but a worthy one to seek and treasure. Too many
Christians speak curses over themselves and others by proclaiming the “power of the world”
over them rather than the Power of God over the world, which is to proclaim a blessing based
on the fact that however big a problem may seem, God is bigger. Thankfully, Almighty God
has a Remnant, as He always does, but they are not mainstream. Therefore, many
Progressives and even professing Christians don’t (as yet) know where to find these faithful-
and-true few who are salt-and-light examples in the world. Thankfully, some of us do. Thank
You, LORD.

Here is the ancient fact: Satan is the root of the poisonous tree; Progressivism and all its
destruction and devaluation, especially of made-in-God’s-image human life and their lives, is
the fruit. And, I’m sorry to say this, but worldly Christians are branches on the wrong vine,
who need to repent and get grafted back to the True Vine and produce fruit from it so others
know to Whom we belong. I include myself in these exhortations.

We ALL fall short of the Spirit of God. But are we representative of Messiah Jesus in the
world or bullhorns engaged in verbal battles with those who have no concept of their
impending eternal spiritual danger? We ALL will stand before God to account for EVERY
word we ever say—especially after we proclaim we are His.
