Waiting for “normal” to return? Current events have you asking, “What the What is going on?” Grab a beverage, get comfortable, and hit Pause on your goings-on for the next several minutes. Your spiritual well-being is too important not to address or at least consider these matters, as is remembering that everyone saved through Messiah Jesus is more than a conqueror. If what follows, at times, seems negative, revisit the book of Daniel in the Old Testament and Jude in the New.
Charles H. Spurgeon could easily have been commenting on what it’s like to watch our 24/7 news these days, rather than about Psalm 53: “‘No God’ means no law, no order, no restraint to lust, no limit to passion. Who but a fool would be of this mind? What a bedlam, or rather what a battleground, would the world become if such lawless principles came to be universal!” —Indeed.
From Jovelyn Begaso: THIS WORLD IS NOT RETURNING TO “NORMAL” — IT IS BEING CONDITIONED. “What we are witnessing today is not random chaos, and it is not yet the Tribulation. Scripture already warned that before judgment ever begins, the world would move into a season of deception, unrest, lawlessness, and global pressure. Jesus Himself said these things would begin long before the end unfolds. ‘Take heed that no man deceive you… all these are the beginning of sorrows.’ Matthew 24:4, 8 (KJV)
“Wars, rumors of wars, social breakdown, moral confusion, mass deception, and constant fear are not signs that God has lost control—they are signs that the world is being prepared, conditioned to accept what is coming next. — This is preparation, not the Tribulation. — The Tribulation is a time of God’s wrath, and Scripture is clear: the Church is not appointed to that wrath. ‘For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.’ 1 Thessalonians 5:9 (KJV)
“What we see now is the setting of the stage—the erosion of truth, the normalization of deception, and the rise of systems that pressure conformity while silencing conviction. Paul warned that this season would be marked by lawlessness increasing and truth being resisted. ‘Because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.’ Matthew 24:12 (KJV) — ‘For the mystery of iniquity doth already work…’ 2 Thessalonians 2:7 (KJV) This is why discernment matters. Not every crisis is judgment—but every crisis reveals hearts. Not every global shift is prophecy fulfilled—but it often prepares the ground for it.
“For the believer: This is not a call to fear. This is a call to watch, stand firm, and walk in truth. For the lost: This world will not save you. Systems will fail. Hope in man will collapse. But God has already made a way of escape—through the Gospel. The Gospel that saves (1 Corinthians 15:1–4, KJV): Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day. Salvation is not found in governments, movements, or religion—it is found in believing on Jesus Christ and His finished work.
“Now is the time. Not when wrath falls. Not when freedom disappears. Now. ‘Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.’ 2 Corinthians 6:2 (KJV)
“Stay alert. Stay grounded. Stay in the Word. This isn’t panic—this is preparation with clarity.”

Personally, I’m bumping against the warning about increase in lawlessness causing the Christian’s heart to grow cold. Such as the eruption of protesters. I find my flesh is inclined to grow cold toward them because of their behaviors, as well as that of certain people in government, rather than pray for Messiah Jesus to put salve on their eyes so their spiritual sight is healed and to replace their hearts of stone with hearts of flesh AND to please, please put more of His love for them in my heart so my own heart does not grow cold toward them or even toward Him as the evil increases, as prophetically revealed to us. I’m in multiple-times-a-day contact with Holy Spirit about this.
Don’t Take the Bait! Accurate advice from Jamie Walden, especially right now and going forward:
“Don’t take the bait of the emotionally predatory nature of this sound-bite world around you. Don’t take the bait to the good—it’s taking you somewhere. Don’t take the bait to the bad—it’s emotionally predatory and vampiristic in its nature and it, too, is taking you somewhere. Stay the course with soundness of mind—sophroneo, which is a mind that has been rescued, salvaged or delivered from illogical, absurd or highly emotional thoughts…. Those who are in Christ Jesus should not be hinged to any pendulum swing.”
The 30,000-foot perspective is not so we can protect our feelings or even our life. It’s so we can stay so close to Holy Spirit that we produce and express Fruits of the Spirit—Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness(Humility), and Self-Control—no matter the circumstances. The Adversary, via They, wants to force us to choose sides—the sides he/they present to us that are solely of this world, not God’s Kingdom. Choose Jesus instead!
An uninformed-through-and-unfed-daily-by-the-Word Christian is a disarmed, depressed, Christian who despairs, each of which grieves Holy Spirit, which is a sin. Messiah Jesus has already won the Victory. Remember this because…
- The insanity is already too much, and it’s going to get worse.
- The hypocrisy is already too much, and it’s going to get worse.
- The lies, deceptions, and delusions are already too much, and they’re going to get worse.
- The willful and or non-willful blindness-to-truth is already too much, and it’s going to get worse.
- The puppet-masters want as many people as possible to get stuck in emotional miasma—so trust this: Whatever is already too much is going to get worse. Much worse.
- BUT, because of Messiah Jesus, we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37), or are meant to be. He is our Savior, not anyone else or any government or any system. Jesus alone.
David Wilkerson wrote in God Is Faithful: “The message of the Holy Spirit today to all of God’s people is, ‘Get back to the mount—get back into His holy presence.’ Many are now hearing that call and making time for prayer and seeking God. Others, however, go about their way, too busy with ‘Kingdom details’ to climb the holy hill.” Or, too focused on worldly matters. We are called to go up, to a higher (biblical, Kingdom) perspective. It’s the Safe Place. Corrie ten Boom’s sister Betsie once told her, “There are … no places that are safer than others. The center of His will is our only safety. Oh, Corrie, let us pray that we may always know it!” Please be sure to watch this 20-minute reveal: David Wilkerson Was Mocked in 1973 for This Vision from God… 50 Years Later, We’re Living It! – YouTube
“God has not only told us what the end will look like in His word, but He has also outlined what we must do to overcome and endure to the end. Build up your faith, build up your prayer life, trust Him, follow Him, know His voice, submit to His will, and here we are saying I’ll get to all of that, but first there’s something more important I have to deal with. I’ll start taking my walk seriously, I’ll start investing my time wisely, I’ll start using my discernment to separate false hope from lasting hope, but first, there’s this one thing I need to research, there’s this one rabbit trail I need to follow, there’s this one straw I need to grasp at, and then, once that’s done, I’ll get to doing what You’ve said I must do.” – Michael Boldea, Jr. (Grandson of and translator for Dumitru Duduman: please look D.D. up on YouTube.)
God warned us in His Word that in the End Times, the Adversary will do much to weary – to wear out – the saints (followers of Jesus). I know a number of you are feeling weary, whatever the cause! When/If we feel weary, we must ask Jesus to refresh us with His peace that surpasses understanding and with the joy that is in Him. He is our Bread of Life and Living Water. Jesus alone.
As promised in His Word, God is revealing what’s been hidden, as well as what we’ve refused to look at, much less fight against, as the Kingdom warriors He expects us to be, both in spirit and in life. Puppet-masters exist: Fight against being manipulated by them. Don’t take the bait. Look to the Bible—God’s Instructions—God’s Love Letter to His sons and daughters—and to Holy Spirit for guidance, not to your emotions or those of anyone else. The Word tells us the heart is deceitful, that emotions can’t always be trusted. We may readily see this in others, but must be able to recognize this about ourselves as well.
We’re engaged in a spiritual war. Too many are clueless about who the real enemy is. I’m reconciling myself to the fact that it’s wasted effort to attempt to present facts, logic, and especially prophecy to certain people. They can’t hear, see, or comprehend it. I’m not being facetious: Maybe you’ve also interacted with such people. We see such people on the news every day. Much has been said as to why they can’t recognize reality for what it is. Here are four such reasons:
- 1 Corinthians 2:14 tells us unbelievers cannot understand what can only be understood through Holy Spirit’s teaching; the Word is foolishness to them.
- 2 Corinthians 4:4 tells us the god of this world (Satan) has blinded their minds so they can’t comprehend God’s truth.
- 2 Thessalonians 2:11 states regarding those who’ve chosen the lie over Almighty God, He will place them under a strong delusion so the lie is all they’ll believe.
- And, you’ve seen the behaviors of some: They’ve opened doors to demons, knowingly or not; their behaviors are more demonic than normal human behaviors.
- Ultimately, they’re in rebellion against Almighty God rather than submitted to Him.
Pray for all of them (and for all of us). A lot. But be careful to check with Holy Spirit so you don’t pray against Almighty God. Example (paraphrased): Jamie Walden pleaded with God to open certain people’s eyes. God told Jamie it was He who’d covered their eyes so they can’t see and, “You want to remove what I put into place? Good luck with that.” HOWEVER, this is primarily about CHRISTIANS. God speaks to and about His people, not the truly Lost, who have not and will never choose Him.
I confess that when I see what’s going on, I tell Messiah Jesus my true feelings about the Troublemakers (I’ve used stronger labels, for which I’ve repented): “They’re horrible,” my flesh shouts. Then Holy Spirit gently reminds me who I am (saved sinner) and that Jesus carried the troublemakers’ names in His heart on the cross, as He did mine, and I’m additionally reminded about Ephesians 6:10-13 CJB:
“Finally, grow powerful in union with the Lord, in union with his mighty strength! Use all the armor and weaponry that God provides, so that you will be able to stand against the deceptive tactics of the Adversary. For we are not struggling against human beings, but against the rulers, authorities and cosmic powers governing this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realm. So take up every piece of war equipment God provides; so that when the evil day comes, you will be able to resist; and when the battle is won, you will still be standing.” [Emphasis mine.]
Holy Spirit seems to have a lot to say to those who are and those who claim to be Christians, and who see themselves more like the arrogant man berating the tax collector who humbled himself before God while he pleaded for God’s mercy and forgiveness. Sadly, my hand is raised too often in admission of this being my initial, default setting. Thankfully, Holy Spirit speaks up—a lot these days—and I repent. See if what follows speaks to you in some measure, as it does to me, through blessed Holy Spirit conviction. Warning: Be Very Concerned If you do not receive Holy Spirit’s conviction when you sin – or even recognize your sins when you commit them. This is Far More Dire than you realize. As I said, what follows convicts me, for which I thank and praise Holy Spirit. What about you, fellow Christians?
Additional Words for the Christian Today From A Few Fellow Christians
We don’t stumble spiritually because the Bible is unclear.
Most of the time, we stumble because we already know what God has said—and choose not to walk in it.
It’s easy to worry about the mysteries.
Prophecy. Timelines. Deep questions.
But Scripture gently turns the spotlight back on us and asks something far more personal:
Are we living what we already understand?
Obedience is not about knowing more—it’s about responding faithfully to what God has already revealed. The Christian walk isn’t proven by how much Scripture we can quote, but by how much of it shapes our daily choices, our attitudes, and our love for others.
Truth not lived becomes truth neglected.
And neglected truth slowly hardens the heart.
Corrie ten Boom lived this.
In suffering, in forgiveness, in faith under pressure—she didn’t just know the Word. She walked it. And that’s where spiritual power is found.
ALSO,
Warning—This Is How The Enemy Gains Access
The devil does not need ownership—he looks for permission.
Scripture never says believers lose salvation, but it does warn that we can give the enemy place if we leave doors open.
Access is rarely forced.
It is usually allowed.
A little anger left unresolved.
A compromise kept hidden.
Pride that goes unchecked.
Fear making decisions instead of faith.
Small lies justified as “not a big deal.”
None of these remove your salvation—but they weaken your walk, steal peace, cloud discernment, and hinder fellowship with God.
“Neither give place to the devil.” — Ephesians 4:27 (KJV)
The enemy works through access points, not explosions.
What we tolerate quietly, he uses strategically.
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” — 1 Peter 5:8 (KJV)
This is not about fear.
This is about spiritual responsibility.
God has given believers authority—but authority must be exercised, not ignored.
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” — James 4:7 (KJV)
The door doesn’t close itself.
You close it—by truth, humility, and obedience.
So be honest with yourself today:
Which door needs to be shut?

THE DEVIL DOESN’T ALWAYS COME SCREAMING.
Sometimes he whispers.
Sometimes he waits until you’re tired.
Until you’re stressed.
Until you’re disappointed.
Until you’re lonely.
Until you’re bored.
And then he doesn’t tempt you with something that looks evil.
He tempts you with something that looks reasonable.
A “little break.”
A “little scrolling.”
A “little bit of comfort.”
A “little bit of compromise.”
A “little bit of secret sin.”
A “little bit of bitterness you keep calling boundaries.”
That’s how the subtle war works.
He doesn’t need you out here doing witchcraft and chanting.
He just needs you numb.
Prayerless.
Word starved.
Easily offended.
Constantly distracted.
Comfort addicted.
Because if he can get you self-sufficient, he doesn’t have to fight you.
You’ll stop depending on God all by yourself.
Be not ignorant of Satan’s devices. (2 Corinthians 2:11)
This is what people don’t want to admit…
The enemy isn’t always trying to get you to “do big sin.”
He’s trying to get you to live a life where nothing is ever confronted.
Where you stay busy enough to avoid the altar.
Where you stay entertained enough to avoid conviction.
Where you stay offended enough to avoid forgiveness.
Where you stay comfortable enough to avoid obedience.
Because a distracted believer is a disarmed believer.
Distraction kills callings.
Comfort kills conviction.
Compromise kills power.
And compromise never shows up with a warning label.
It shows up with a smile.
It sounds like…
God understands.
You deserve this.
It’s not that deep.
Everyone does it.
At least you’re not like them.
You can pray later.
You’ll get serious tomorrow.
And tomorrow turns into next week.
Next week turns into next month.
Next month turns into years.
And you don’t “fall” overnight, you drift.
That’s the scary part.
Most people don’t backslide by running.
They backslide by coasting.
And you can’t coast and stay close to Jesus.
You cannot fight a spiritual war with lazy faith.
You can’t win battles with a Bible you never open.
You can’t have discernment when you feed your mind anything and everything.
You can’t walk in authority while you keep giving the enemy access.
Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7) [JLS: The missing first part is “Submit to God.”]
But he won’t flee from someone who keeps cracking the door.
He won’t flee from someone who wants deliverance but keeps dating the demon.
He won’t flee from someone who keeps entertaining what Jesus died to free them from.
So let this be your wake-up call…
Close the doors.
Cut off the distractions.
Get back to the Word.
Get back to prayer that costs you something.
Get back to the altar;
Get back to obedience.
Because Hell isn’t threatened by church people.
Hell is threatened by surrendered people.
And if you’ve been feeling the pressure lately, the warfare, the heaviness…
it might be because you’re not crazy.
You’re not imagining it.
You’re in a war.
And it’s time to wake up.

WHEN YOUR HEART BECOMES COLD — A Call for Lukewarm Christians
This is not a message for the lost.
This is for you.
Still saved.
But no longer burning.
You didn’t lose Jesus.
You lost the fire.
Slowly.
Silently.
You still attend.
You still serve.
You still believe.
But you no longer burn.
This is lukewarm.
The most dangerous place.
Jesus never warned about losing faith.
He warned about losing love.
“Because lawlessness will increase,
the love of many will grow cold.”
— Matthew 24:12
“You are neither cold nor hot.
So because you are lukewarm,
I will spit you out of My mouth.”
— Revelation 3:15–16
Lukewarm faith looks alive.
Sounds right.
Knows the Bible.
Feels nothing.
You pray enough to feel safe.
You obey enough to feel right.
You repent enough to sleep at night.
But not enough to burn.
Fire didn’t leave you.
You walked away.
One compromise.
One delay.
One small step at a time.
Conviction became irritating.
Holiness felt extreme.
Comfort felt safer.
This is how hearts freeze.
Jesus spoke His strongest words
not to sinners,
but to comfortable believers.
They don’t hunger for God.
They schedule Him.
This is not balance.
This is compromise.
Remember Samson.
Anointed.
Gifted.
Used by God.
Yet he played with sin
until fire left quietly.
“The Lord had departed from him,
and he did not know it.”
— Judges 16:20
That is the danger.
Power can leave
while activity remains.
Another warning.
Five foolish virgins.
Lamps in hand.
No oil inside. [JLS: Oil = Holy Spirit]
They looked ready.
They sounded ready.
But when the Bridegroom came,
their fire was gone.
— Matthew 25
Religion without oil [Holy Spirit]
will not survive the midnight cry.
You don’t need more sermons.
You need more surrender.
Jesus is not knocking
on the door of the world.
He is knocking
on the door of the church.
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock.”
— Revelation 3:20
If you hear Him,
you are not rejected.
You are being called.
Return.
Not to activity.
Not to titles.
Return to intimacy.
Turn off what cools you.
Cut off what dulls you.
Run back to what burns you.
Fast again.
Pray again.
Weep again.
FALL IN LOVE AGAIN. [JLS: Jesus commands us to return to our First Love—Him.]
Better to be broken and burning
than successful and cold.
Better to lose comfort
than lose His presence.
This is the call.
Wake up.
Repent deeply.
Burn again.
Because Jesus is coming
for a burning bride,
not a lukewarm church.
-Allen Campbell, FB post
God was delivering her… but her heart was still longing for what He was judging.
Let that sink in.
Sodom wasn’t destroyed randomly.
It was judged because the corruption had reached its limit.
And before judgment fell, God showed mercy.
Angels were sent.
A way out was provided.
Clear instructions were given.
FLEE.
DON’T LOOK BACK.
MOVE OR DIE.
Lot’s wife left physically…
but mentally and spiritually, she stayed behind.
And that’s the part most people miss.
She wasn’t judged for curiosity.
She was judged for attachment.
Her body was escaping…
but her heart was still grieving the world God was burning.
Jesus later pulls this story back up and drops a cold, surgical warning:
“Remember Lot’s wife.” (Luke 17:32)
Not admire her.
Not pity her.
REMEMBER her.
Because in the last days, people would be doing what they always do:
Eating. Drinking. Building. Posting. Grinding. Distracted.
Meanwhile… judgment is already scheduled.
Jesus then makes it even clearer:
Whoever tries to save their life will lose it.
Whoever is willing to lose it for God will preserve it.
Translation?
You can’t carry the world and carry the cross.
Trying to keep sin while asking for salvation is spiritual self-sabotage.
Clinging to comfort while God is calling you out is rebellion, not grace.
Mourning what God is removing is a sign the heart is divided.
Scripture doesn’t stutter:
“The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life.” (Romans 6:23)
So the pattern is clear:
Deliverance requires obedience, not hesitation.
Salvation requires surrender, not compromise.
Judgment begins when the heart refuses to let go.
Many want God’s protection
but still want the world’s pleasures.
Many want Jesus as Savior
but reject Him as Lord.
And here’s the uncomfortable truth:
What you refuse to release
can block your spiritual movement.
What you keep holding onto
can cost you everything.
If God has told you to let it go,
the response isn’t explanation…
it’s repentance.
Turn back.
Refocus.
Drop the weight.
Walk forward.
Don’t mourn what God is judging.
Don’t desire what He’s destroying.
Don’t look back at what He delivered you from.
Obedience isn’t loss.
It’s protection.
Obedience isn’t loss.
It’s life.
“If you live according to the flesh, you will die.
But if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.” (Romans 8:13)
If God is calling you out — LET IT GO.
-Robert Johnson, FB post
Let me close by borrowing/repeating from what Betsie ten Boom said: There are no places that are safer than others. The center of His will is our only safety. Oh, Believer, let us pray that we may always know it! From Corrie ten Boom’s God Is My Hiding Place: “When we are in the center of God’s will, His grace keeps us. Each assignment releases His wisdom, favor and protection. We must be careful not to hold on to what we had when God calls us to move on. Let us be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit and commit each day to Him. PRAYER: Father, You have ordained the seasons of my life. Give me the wisdom to discern them. Unless I am in the center of Your will, I will strive to work but only find that I am weak and without the grace I need. But when I follow Your leading, even if it takes me to the ends of the earth, I will be strong and bear fruit for Your glory because You will be with me.”
For any courageous enough to climb to that 30,000-foot elevation, where biblical prophecy and current and coming events get their dots connected, what’s below is on-point for the Spirit of the Age we’re in…
