Eddie Andrus, At 95 Walking Across The Country

Eddie Andrus — pushing 100 and he’s walking across the country. Do you think you could do it at the age you are now? Would you try?

Ernie Andrus is a World War II Navy Veteran and he is walking across the country. He turned turned 90 in August, 2013. He began in  San Diego, California on October 7, 2013 and reached Saint Simons Island, Georgia on August 20, 2016. (one day after his 93rd birthday}. He’s 95 now and started running the same course in reverse on March 16, 2019. He finished the first run in 999 hours, 32 minutes and I second. He is only running 13 miles a week now so it will take him 5 years.

This feat is undertaken to raise money for the LST 325,  a World War II era ship used to land equipment and troops on hostel shores. . His dream is to take the ship back to Normandy for a D-Day Memorial. See https://coast2coastruns.com/
